1998 World Directory of Manufactured Fiber Producers Released

Washington, D.C., Nov. 24, 1997 — The Fiber Economics Bureau (FEB) today announced the release of the 1998 edition of its World Directory of Manufactured Fiber Producers.

The new edition of the Directory contains listings on over 1700 manufactured fiber producers in 71 countries. In announcing the availability of the Directory, Frank Horn, FEB's President, stated “FEB has an ongoing commitment to develop the most comprehensive and accurate world directory. This year's directory is the best ever and it will be an invaluable resource for manufactured fiber producers, suppliers, and customers.”

The 1998 edition of the World Directory contains over 800 new listings, including 350 new listings for China, and 700 updates. For the first time, the World Directory contains complete new entries for the CIS countries. A significant number of new polypropylene producers have also been added.

Listings in the World Directory include the addresses, telephone/fax numbers, plant locations, products produced, and trade names. It also contains a special section on international manufactured fiber producer affiliations, with their percentage of capital ownership. Manufactured fibers are conveniently cross-referenced by trademark, manufacturer, and country.

Horn added that, “the Fiber Economics Bureau has drawn on the contacts it has developed in many years of close working relationships across the globe. The 1998 World Directory has drawn upon these resources to stay on top of the content changes in one of the world's most dynamic industries.”

The 1998 World Directory of Manufactured Fiber Producers is available for $80.00 per copy. Orders and inquiries should be directed to:
