Art Roth of Universal Fiber Systems Elected to be new AFMA Chairman FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:
WASHINGTON, D.C., October 13, 2000 At the close of its annual meeting today, the Board of Directors of the American Fiber Manufacturers Association announced the election of Art Roth as the new Chairman of the Association for the coming year. Roth is President and CEO of Universal Fiber Systems, headquartered in Bristol, VA.
For the past year, Roth has been serving as Vice Chairman of AFMA, and Chairman of its Executive Committee. He succeeds W. Donald Johnson, Group Vice President of DuPont Nylon Worldwide.
The AFMA Board has also re-elected as its treasurer Ted Kelly, Vice President and General Manager of American Fibers & Yarns, Inc. In addition to Roth and Kelly, the other members of the AFMA Executive Committee are W. Donald Johnson, Group Vice President, DuPont Nylon Worldwide; Dick Doidge-Harrison, President & Chief Executive, Acordis Cellulosic Fibers Inc.; Eduardo Rocha, Vice President & General Manager, KoSa; William Lin, Senior Vice President, Nan Ya Plastics Corporation, America; and Bradley Hill, Vice President & General Manager, Solutia Inc.
The American Fiber Manufacturers Association is the trade association for U.S. producers of manufactured fiber.
