Textile Supplies & Services Expo For Immediate Release:
GREENVILLE, SC (USA) -Tbe American Textile Machinery Association (ATMA) and Textile Hall Corporation will continue their sponsorship of a Textile Industry Supplies & Services event. It will occur October 19, 20 & 2 1, 1999 at the Palmetto Expo Center in Greenville, South Carolina. The event name is shortened to Textile Supplies & Services Expo.
The 1999 expo will feature a wide range of supplies and services including textile parts and accessories, hardware and software solutions, material handling and plant maintenance equipment, business and financial services, chemicals, management consultants, transportation providers, packaging and shipping, services, safety equipment, environmental management services and supplies and instrumentation for process monitoring.
By expanding the scope of the event, organizers anticipate higher and more diverse industry attendance, drawing from different divisions within each company.
The Textile Supplies & Services Expo is endorsed by the American Textile Manufacturers Institute (ATMI), the national trade association for the U.S. textile industry. ATMI will play an active role in working to make this year's event a success.
Organizers are modifying the format of the 1999 event to attract more attendance by textile executives responsible for purchasing parts, supplies and services.
The inaugural TISSEC (Textile Industry Supplies & Services Exhibition and Conference) which was held October 20-22, 1998, featured 250 exhibitors occupying 37,000 square feet of exhibit space.
Speaking on behalf of the co-sponsoring Textile Hall Corporation, J. Robert Ellis, president and CEO stated, We were very encouraged by very positive reports in the trade press and by the results of a survey of attendees following TISSEC '98. In addition, we were pleased by the strong support we received from industry leaders who encouraged us to improve and continue the show due to the value of the show in bringing the industry and its suppliers together.
ATMA President Richard Craig, President and COO, A.B. Carter Inc. said, While our first effort was weakly attended, surveys of those who were there provided very strong support for the concept. We believe revised marketing to exhibitors and visitors alike will enhance participation. And, there are indications that several textile and supplies associations will affiliate with the event by convening meetings or conferences for their members and constituents during the three days. With these modifications and enhancements we see potential to dramatically increase attendance.
Carlos Moore, Executive Vice President of the American Textile Manufacturers Institute (ATMI), stated We are convinced the show will become a major industry event because it provides efficient one-stop shopping for nearly every supply and service our industry uses, outside of primary textile machinery. ATMI is pleased to be working with Textile Hall Corporation and the American Textile Machinery Association on the exhibition.
Applications for space in the Textile Supplies & Services Expo will be mailed in mid-March.
